Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space (DOS), Govt. of India jointly with Astronautical Society of India (ASI), intends to sponsor a few students to participate in 59th International Astronautical Congress (59th IAC) to be held in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom during September 29 to October 3, 2008. This annual global space event is organized by International Astronautical Federation (IAF), International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and International Institute of Space Law (IISL) and hosted by British Interplanetary Society (BIS). Students whose paper (as first author) is accepted for presentation in the 59th IAC are eligible for consideration of this sponsorship.

Eligible students may submit the application with the following details before August 24, 2008 for consideration: Name, Date of Birth, contact details (postal address, email & mobile number) Affiliated Institute, Full manuscript of the accepted paper, Symposium/ Technical session in which paper is accepted and a declaration that their participation is not supported by any other Agency/Organisation/Institute either partially or fully. The sponsorship includes to and fro economy class air ticket, accommodation and living expenses as per the norms.
